Health & Edu Supports for Tribal Children in India

Project Report | May 4, 2022
Elavarasan joined Vocational Training to feel better environment

By SILAMBARASAN | Program Manager

Ilavarasan, ten years old, is Mallika's son. They belong to the Malayali tribe residing in the remote villages in the reserve forests of Pachamalai hills in Tamil Nadu. He is a specially-abled child. Since both of his parents are tribal peasants, they could not afford medical attention catering to his unique needs. This project aims to provide shelter for Ilavarasan at a care center in Tiruchirapalli, the nearest city, to support his medical expenses, education, and vocational training.

And we have identified a better Care center for him in the district of Tiruchirapalli, hence he has joined the vocational training to make him prepare to stay in the care center.

And we have changed the project to supporting the children of tribals in Pachamalai Hill, instead of supporting the single child.
