“Ma’am, can I keep this pencil forever?”
The question came from 7-year-old Hari, a bright-eyed boy in a remote village school. He had just received a small stationery kit—two pencils, a sharpener, and a ruled notebook. His eyes lit up as though we had handed him a treasure chest.
This is what education support looks like in the villages we serve: a lifeline wrapped in school supplies.
Meena, 13, had stopped going to school after her father’s accident. She helped at home, cooked, cleaned—and buried her books in a box under the bed. When we visited her home, she stood quietly behind her mother. When we handed her a school kit and spoke to her about returning to class, she whispered:
“Am I allowed to dream now?”
Today, Meena walks to school every day with three friends. She wants to become a nurse.
A Turning Point
Through our Education Support Program, children like Sakthi will receive not just school bags and stationery—but dignity. Confidence. Belonging.
We are planning to provide:
School bags
Notebooks and writing tools
Pencil kits, color boxes, and geometry tools
Basic uniforms and hygiene kits (where needed)
Emotional support and encouragement through village educators
The joy was visible. Children came back to school not just as students, but as dreamers. Attendance improved. Teachers noticed more engagement. Parents began to believe again.
Impact Snapshot
300 children stayed in school through our support
98% attendance in targeted schools after kit distribution
Girls’ participation increased, especially in middle school
10 volunteers trained to monitor and encourage learning
Countless stories of joy, self-worth, and renewed dreams
The Road Ahead
While we’re grateful for every child we’ve reached, hundreds more are waiting. Many still:
Share one notebook between siblings
Skip school to help at home
Walk barefoot to class
Drop out quietly because no one noticed
With your support, we can change that.
