Disability therapies for 1,300 children in Moldova

Dear Supporter,

Thanks to your kind donations the work of the Tony Hawks Rehabilitation Centre in Chisinau, Moldova.Children in this region born with disability are all too often side-lined, with little or no opportunity to advance.

Thanks to your support children can access free rehabilitation, physio-, hydro-, and speech-therapy.

Andrei is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and also has speech problems. He is always supported by his mother to walk.  Andrei is a 3rd grade student. He is integrated in general school. He goes to lessons a few hours a day. In winter the teacher comes home.  Andrei likes very much Tony Hawks Center swimming pool. He comes with great pleasure to swim.

Andrei receives free rehabilitation courses consisting of massage, physiotherapy, hydro-physiotherapy, also the family received financial help to buy the school uniform for Andrei, and a food package for the winter holidays.

The Tony Hawks Children's Health Centre improves the life quality of chronically ill children from socially vulnerable families. By working with parents of young children, the Centre is able to give a hope to the family and prevent the child being abandoned to a life locked away in an institution.

Thanks to your support children like Andrei can reach their full potential.
