Respected Donors,
Best Wishes from SERUDS Charity
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our valued supporters who have generously contributed to our non-profit organization’s efforts to aid elderly individuals.
Since the launch of our zero hunger initiative in 2009, we have been dedicated to providing nutritious noon meals to elderly people from low-income families. Your prompt and generous donations have enabled us to sustain this program and establish an elderly care facility with a clean kitchen, ensuring that seniors receive wholesome lunches daily.
For the past 14 years, we have been delivering nutritious noon meals to elderly individuals in need by combining your generous donations with our daily meal provisions. To ensure a hygienic dining experience for elderly women, we have established a well-maintained kitchen in our care facility. Many of these elderly individuals have been left alone at home, as their children have relocated for daily wage labor on construction sites. Due to health issues, the elderly are no longer able to work and some, who are childless, reside in thatched cottages. Despite their challenges, not all are in distress.
In our ongoing fieldwork, we have identified thirty elderly residents in the Budhavarapeta slum, near the Kurnool graveyard, ranging in age from 60 to 90. We provide them with wholesome daily meals that include steam-cooked rice, dhal, sambar, curd or buttermilk, seasonal pickles, and fruits. Additionally, we regularly distribute clothing items such as blouses and sarees. We recently celebrated Indian holidays, bringing joy to these impoverished elderly individuals. Our meal program has contributed to their contentment, dignity, and improved health.
Additionally, we are committed to offering daily lunch donations to elderly residents in the urban slum of Budhavarapeta, near the Kurnool graveyard. Each meal includes steam-cooked rice, leafy vegetable dhal, traditional sambar, buttermilk, seasonal pickle, and fresh fruits.
We appreciate your financial support through GlobalGiving, a USA 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization, which helps us continue providing for these underprivileged elderly individuals.
