Respected Patron,
Warm Greetings from SERUDS Nonprofit!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed patrons for their unwavering support toward our ongoing humanitarian projects for elderly persons. Your generous contributions have been the backbone of our Midday Meal Program, a key initiative under our Zero Hunger Project, providing timely and nutritious meals to impoverished senior citizens.
For over a decade, SERUDS has been serving poor and homeless elderly people through this program, ensuring they receive a healthy and dignified meal every day. To make this possible, we established an Old Age Day Care Center equipped with a hygienic kitchen where freshly prepared meals are cooked and served with care.
Many of the beneficiaries are senior citizens aged between 60 and 90 years, living in thatched huts and unable to work due to frail health. Through our Meal Donation Program in Budhavarapeta, an urban slum near the graveyard area in Kurnool, we serve nutritious lunches daily to 30 elderly individuals. Each meal includes steam-cooked rice, leafy vegetable dal, traditional sambar, seasonal pickle, fresh fruits, and buttermilk — ensuring both nutrition and taste.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we also educated all the elderly participants about hygiene, sanitation, and preventive measures to protect themselves from infection. The program not only provides nourishment but also emotional comfort and a sense of belonging. Their heartfelt blessings go to every donor who made this possible.
Your timely and continued support through the GlobalGiving Foundation (a USA 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization) has enabled us to serve these neglected elders consistently. Because of your kindness, they live with dignity, improved health, and renewed hope each day.
With sincere gratitude and warm regards,
Team SERUDS
