Greetings from SERUDS
Thank you for all your kind generous support for the destitute elderly persons.
The Midday meals program have been started in the year 2009 for the destitute elderly persons in Kurnool of Andhra Pradesh. After massive floods in 2009, many poor families have been migrated to some other towns and cities. At that time Old age persons are living alone in the slums some of them are not havings sons and daughters and also they are homeless. They are not able to work any more due to age concern. At this pathetic condition and critical juncture SERUDS Charity have started midday meals program with the 5 old age women and later on the number have increased to 30. Now we are serving every day nutritious meals to 30 older people, who are homeless and begging on the streets. We motivated them and bought to one place in Budhavarapeta Slum and started Kitchen and Providing Nutritious food to these oldage women.
The older people after having food they take rest at grave yards, community halls, temples, function halls, neighbour houses premises. Lunch serves at 1.30pm. All the older people come to SERUDS meals center and they have good diet in the afternoon. In the lunch includes, Steamed Cooked Rice, Dhal, Sealsonal Pickle, Sambhar, Chutney, Vegitable Curry, Curd, etc.
With this nutritious food the older persons health have been improved and having hope on their remaining lives. Now they are living with dignity. Thanking you for supporting noble cause. With out your kind continuing generous support it is very difficult for us to serve the destitute and needy.
