We are very thankful for our dedicated clinic staff including Nursing Assistant Beatrice pictured in the photo. Beatrice has many years experience as a nursing assistant and is dedicated to her job and to helping Agwata residents stay healthy.
Thanks to your support of this project, we can continue to pay our dedicated clinic staff including an additional clinic cleaner who helps keep the clinic extra clean and sanitized. A first round of vaccines were distributed in March/April but the supply quickly ran out in our district in Uganda. They are currently awaiting additional vaccines as Covid-19 cases in Uganda continue to rise.
We are thankful that our Agwata school teachers and most of the clinic staff received their 1 dose vaccine in the first vaccine round. We hope more people will be able to receive their vaccines soon. Some people remain afraid of getting vaccinated. Our clinic and project staff as well as district personnel need to help with sensitization.
In spite of heavier than normal patient visits at our clinic, we are thankful the clinic continues to be adequately stocked with needed medicines. We hope that malaria cases will decrease as the first rainy season should end soon and the next couple of months should be a drier time of year.
Thanks again for your support to help keep our Agwata community and school children safe in these trying times!
