September and October are rainy season months in Uganda. And this colder, damper weather brings more sickness and more clinic visits. That's why we were so excited to receive additional donations to this project during October!
It means our clinic shelves will not be bare like many other government clinics especially in remote areas like ours. Our nurses and clinic management committee were relieved and excited to hear that donations to this project during October will allow us to purchase more clinic medicines for this busy rainy season.
Winnifred, pictured in the photo, is our head nurse and attends to patients while our nursing assistant, Beatrice assists and helps with drug dispensing. The clinic is especially critical to help provide easily accessible care for the students at our primary school which is just acroos the road. Plus, mothers with babies and young toddlers and preschoolers do not have to walk far to reach the clinic.
Thanks again for providing critical help to keep our clinic's shelves stocked with the most needed medicines and especially the malaria treatment medicines and test strips!
