Our clinic nurses happily received their specially requested clinic maternity supplies from Outreach Uganda's volunteer team in June. Our support of clinic medicines for the clinic comes almost entirely from the funds raised from this project. It is usually quickly used up purchasing just the needed malaria supplies and a few other key medicines.
So the additional helping hand for the maternity supplies was greatly appreciated by both the clinic staff as well as the mothers in the community!
Besides delivering the supplies, our team enjoyed seeing all the mothers and their babies when they came to the clinic for an immunization day! The clinic continues to be an immense help to the 5 nearby villages, The elderly, the sick, and young mothers and babies do not have to walk the 17 kilometers to the next closest health center!
