Families living in Agwata village are very excited about the Agwata clinic. Why is that? It is usually stocked with key life saving medicines and antibiotics, often when other clinics' shelves are empty! The provision of these medicines is a direct result of your generosity through this very important project!
This photo shows the most recent restocking of medicines that took place in mid-February. We hope that these medicines last for six months until the next planned restocking in August. The Agwata clinic is in a remote corner of the sub-county about 45 km from the South Sudan border. The next closest clinic is 17 km away--a very long distance for most patients who travel by foot. The 800 primary students who study at the Agwata school which is just across the road from the clinic, also heavily use the clinic.
Since the community clinic first opened in mid-2013, community leaders and clinic staff note that deaths of especially young children under the age of 5, and the elderly have decreased. And for this, they are very grateful!
So, thanks to each and every one of you who has donated to this life saving project! We too are very grateful and pray that your generosity will continue! If you have friends, family, co-workers, your doctor's office or anyone else who might want to donate, please forward this email to them.
Thank you,
Carol Davis, President
