Donate for the Rehabilitation of Down Syndrome

NDF is working for the Rehabilitation of children with Down Syndrome in 03 Centres, Nawabshah, Larkana & Karachi. NDF programs provide children with Down syndrome the various types of therapies they need and that have been proven beneficial including occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. “Early intervention is so importan, it will dictate the trajectory for your child.” Physical Therapy, the goals of physical therapy are to help build motor skills, increase muscle strength, and improve posture and balance. In children with Down syndrome this is important because a common characteristic of the disorder is low muscle tone, which if unaddressed can lead to long-term problems. Speech-Language Therapy, this type of therapy focuses on communication and language skills. Occupational Therapy, this type of therapy focuses on finding ways for individuals to compensate for their disabilities to manage everyday tasks. Emotional and Behavioral Therapies, these services help individuals manage behavioral problems, such as compulsive disorders or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other mental health issues. The therapies are only remedy to be rehabilitated, it costs time & money, so that NDF raises money from GlobalGiving to ensure funds for long run, parents need to spare time for their child to bring their child regularly at Rehabilitation Centre.

NDF has engaged 21 more children in rehabilitation & skill development that they may be become earning point for their family. By this funding opportunity many more are waiting to be engaged to learn their skills to become source of earning in the Society. Please carry on your efforts to put donations for this cause that we may carry on to engage children with Down Syndromein rehabilitation & skill development. Down Syndrome is slow learner but leaner. He takes his/her interest in learning.
