Our main objective is to provide high-quality education free of cost to the children living in the slums of Lahore and the surrounding. This project is going to establish 10 schools with the objective of 1500 children will go to school.
According to statistics, there are over seven million homeless living in Pakistan. Most are day labourers, garbage collectors, sanitary workers, dancers, or beggars. They remain deprived of basic rights despite being Pakistani citizens. They live below the poverty line, in severely unhygienic conditions. Among the host of problems facing severe alienation, malnutrition, early marriages, and ignorance regarding health issues.
We are helping 4500 vulnerable families since 2013 by giving food, new or used clothes, free health services and clean water. We believe that a collective effort to address issue of education for children will make it possible for them to be brought back to safety, and into the fold of society. Muwakhat Foundation and Door of Awareness work together to provide free education, stationery, books, uniforms, and two times meals to children.
