In Colombia, many children with disabilities or neurological conditions grow up without access to specialized medical care. Families know something is wrong, but consultations, tests, and therapies are often unaffordable. Without early diagnosis, children miss key opportunities for their development. Fundacion Patronato works to change this by providing medical consultations, diagnostic tests, surgeries, therapies, assistive devices, and follow-up care for children from vulnerable communities.
Every week, parents come to the foundation seeking help for their children. Many have spent years trying to find answers. Some children have never received neurological, ophthalmological, or therapeutic evaluations, despite clear difficulties in their development, learning, or mobility.
Thanks to the support of donors, children in our programs receive complete medical evaluations and specialized therapies that transform their daily lives and development. Families gain clarity, guidance, and the tools they need to support their children's growth. Through this project, the foundation will provide medical evaluations, early diagnoses, and access to specialized therapies for 50 low-income children in Colombia, helping them overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
