Hope and Dignity for Goma 20251. Project Background

The city of Goma, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Due to armed conflicts, volcanic eruptions, and economic collapse, thousands of families are living in extreme poverty.
The most affected are women, children, the elderly, orphans, and people with disabilities. Displacement camps are overcrowded, malnutrition is worsening, and hope is fading every day.

2. Project Overview: Qurban 2025

The Qurban 2025 Project in Goma aims to provide fresh meat to vulnerable Muslim families during the Eid al-Adha celebration.
This initiative, implemented in partnership with GlobalGiving, seeks to bring support, hope, and dignity to those who need it most.

Main Objective:

To distribute Qurban meat to over 1,000 vulnerable families, including:

• Orphans
• Elderly persons
• The sick
• Widows and displaced families

3. Justification and Expected Impact

In a region marked by suffering and instability, this project will:

• Fight hunger and malnutrition;
• Strengthen social cohesion within communities;
• Restore hope and dignity to beneficiaries during an important spiritual period;
