Jeanelie, a bright young lady from Carrefour, Haiti, always had a passion for cooking. Despite growing up in a low-income household, she found joy and creativity in the kitchen. Her dream of having a formal training seemed far-fetched—until she was awarded a sponsorship from our foundation that allowed her to attend a culinary training center in Carrefour.
Through the program, Marie not only honed her cooking skills but also gained confidence and a sense of purpose. She studied hard, impressed her instructors, and used this opportunity to support her needs. Her success relieved financial pressure on her parents and inspired her family members, and friends, showing them what was possible through dedication and opportunity.
After graduating, Marie continued to hone her skills and looked forward to opening up her own food business blending local Haitian flavors with professional techniques. More than just a business, she hoped to train other young women, helping them learn valuable culinary skills to build a better future. Marie’s story is a powerful reminder that when you invest in one person’s potential, the ripple effect can transform families and uplift entire communities.
