Dear CREATE! Supporters,
Thanks to your incredible generosity, CREATE! was able to raise more than $3,500 through our GlobalGiving campaign “Drive CREATE! Team’s Success” . These funds will go a long way in helping our team in Senegal purchase a newer truck. This vehicle is essential for efficient and safe transportation, allowing our team to commute between partner communities, transport materials, and carry out our critical projects. Trucks like this can cost around $30,000 in Senegal, so we’re grateful to have made substantial progress toward our goal with your support.
While this campaign didn’t fully meet our fundraising target, it offered valuable lessons and increased awareness of our needs. When we launched, we knew that capital campaigns like this one may face challenges on online peer-centered platforms. Our primary aim was to raise awareness among our regular donors, encouraging them to spread the word—and we achieved that. Alongside the funds raised, supporters reached out independently to offer their help, expanding our donor base and strengthening our community.
This campaign laid the groundwork for a more personalized, one-on-one approach with our regular donors and their networks. As a result, we’ve secured nearly all the funds needed for the truck, and our team in Senegal is now actively searching for the right vehicle, which we hope to have in place by year’s end.
