Summary

If we integrate, we promote inclusion. As a result, well-being, interactions, and learning environments improve. We provide access to diagnostic and specialized education services for children/adolescents with autism and training to those who interact with and teach them. When professionals who educate children with autism build skills and strategies, they and their peers thrive. When a child with autism develops the skills to become more independent and autonomous, his family dynamics improve.

Challenge

a) The prevalence of autism has risen to 1/36. b) Inclusion in educational settings has become a significant challenge. c) In Venezuela, 83% of households have an income below the poverty line (Encovi survey). d) Government-supported or financed programs are very scarce. Financial support has become the decisive enrolling factor for those applying for or participating in our training programs and educational services. How do we ensure access to education today and tomorrow?

Solution

We have expanded our training services for individuals and educational institutions to drive integration into mainstream education. To facilitate and develop children's independence and autonomy, we have increased our diagnostic capabilities and are operating two shifts in our classroom psychoeducational program. We are also developing a new generation of specialists and younger talent within Autismo en Voz Alta. In 2023-2024, we aim to serve directly 650 families and many more indirectly.

Long-Term Impact

Continue to operate, provide, and introduce educational services to address the developmental needs of those with autism, with access to need-based financial support. We are committed to moving forward, learning, and improving. We seek to develop the skills of children/teens with autism, professionals, and families for their effective integration into society. For many coping with autism, we are the only educational alternative in Venezuela. Your trust and unwavering support motivate us.
