Dear Donors,
We are pleased to share an update on the progress of our partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the steps we are taking to introduce this valuable opportunity to more young people in care.
We have been giving presentations at children’s homes to introduce the Award, explain how it works, and encourage more young people to get involved. Through these visits, we hope to help the young people we support discover new interests, set personal goals, and build the confidence and skills they need for the future.
We are especially fortunate to have a student who has already completed the Bronze and Silver levels of the Award and is now working towards Gold with YouMeWe. As part of his Gold Award volunteering, he will help us introduce the programme to more children’s homes and encourage other young people to participate. His experience is a powerful example of how young people can inspire and support one another, while developing their own leadership and communication skills.
Every step forward brings us closer to our goal of ensuring that young people growing up in institutional care have access to the same opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve as their peers.
Your donations make this work possible. We are deeply grateful for your continued support in helping us create opportunities, strengthen mentoring relationships, and empower young people to build brighter, more independent futures.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
