Two years ago, on the night of 5-6 February 2023, two terrible earthquakes struck the southern area of Turkey, as well as the northern regions of Syria.
According to estimates by the two countries, the earthquake caused a total of 57,759 casualties (of which 50500 in Turkey and 7259 in Syria), while more than 121,000 people were injured.
Specchio dei tempi launched a subscription and, also thanks to the partnership with Remar Sos, set up a relief facility (in a concrete club) in Antioch, Turkey, within a few days. In the following months, again with Redmar Sos, the construction of an adjacent prefabricated village was completed, which now houses 400 people, almost 200 of them children.
Until June, Specchio dei tempi will continue to support after-school activities in the village.
Everyone can lend a hand. Donate now to support Turkey and the people affected by this disaster.
