Earthquake Strikes Cebu: Call for International Solidarity On September 30, 2025, a powerful 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck the central region of the Philippines. The epicenter was located offshore from Bogo, a coastal city in the northern part of the island, where the destruction was especially severe. While our center in Cebu and all students and staff are safe, many of our students come from the hardest-hit areas. These communities are in urgent need of assistance.
Earthquake Strikes Cebu: Call for International Solidarity On September 30, 2025, a powerful 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck the central region of the Philippines, particularly Cebu Island, causing at least 72 deaths and over 290 injuries. The epicenter was located offshore from Bogo, a coastal city in the northern part of the island, where the destruction was especially severe.
While our center in Cebu and all students and staff are safe, many of our students come from the hardest-hit areas, including Bogo, Medellin, Daan Bantayan, and Bantayan. These communities are in urgent need of assistance. We are launching a donation campaign to support the affected families. Funds will be allocated based on individual needs, focusing on: Emergency Relief: Provision of water, food, and daily essentials. Reconstruction Support: Assistance for rebuilding homes.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact in helping these families recover and rebuild their lives.
