YOGYAKARTA – Starting 2025 with renewed spirit, INFEST Foundation continues to strengthen its commitment to community empowerment through international collaboration. Since joining the GlobalGiving philanthropy platform earlier this year, the INFEST team has been actively learning to adapt to the digital fundraising ecosystem while developing new and more effective fundraising approaches.

A Journey of Global Learning

As its first global fundraising experience, INFEST initially launched a campaign focused on vocational school development. During the early stages, the organization faced challenges related to delays in project reporting, which affected its ranking on the platform. These challenges, however, proved to be important learning moments.

By the second half of 2025, the INFEST team began studying GlobalGiving’s operational systems in greater depth. Through participation in various learning cycle themes and engagement with GlobalGiving Rewards (GG Rewards), INFEST gained valuable insights into how structured learning and accountability mechanisms can directly improve organizational performance and project management.

Vocational School Innovation: Reaching Broader Communities

Entering the second semester of 2025, INFEST introduced several innovations within its vocational school program. Learning services were expanded beyond children and school-aged youth to reach broader community groups, including:

  • Farmer and breeder communities, through practical training programs accessed by communities in Bantul (Yogyakarta) and Blora (Central Java).
  • Inter-school collaboration, including partnerships with educational institutions such as Diponegoro School, which participated in thematic training on agricultural and livestock business development, accompanied by ongoing mentoring support.

These initiatives reflect INFEST’s commitment to making vocational education more inclusive and responsive to local economic needs.

Expanding Impact: Women’s Empowerment and Environmental Conservation

Recognizing the growing potential for global public participation, INFEST has expanded its presence on GlobalGiving by integrating two additional strategic programs:

  • Migrant women’s empowerment, focusing on economic strengthening, capacity building, and protection for women with migration backgrounds.
  • Environmental conservation, supporting sustainable efforts to protect and restore local ecosystems.

Through these programs, INFEST demonstrates that participation in the GlobalGiving platform is not only about fundraising but also about strengthening organizational professionalism, transparency, and long-term social impact.

Support Us in 2026: Establishing a Formal School

Looking ahead to 2026, INFEST Foundation recognizes that existing limitations can be overcome through collective global support. We invite partners and supporters to help realize our plan to establish a formal vocational school by contributing to the development of key facilities, including:

  • Learning facilities include classrooms, a library, a training center, student dormitories, a main hall for large activities, and sanitation facilities (toilets and bathrooms).
  • Student support, including assistance for school fees, books, stationery, and school uniforms.

Together, we can help expand access to quality education and skills training for communities in need.

Happy New Year—let us welcome 2026 with a new spirit.
