Self-confidence is a crucial foundation for children’s growth and development. Confident children are more willing to express their ideas, try new things, and face challenges without excessive fear. At Punthuk Sewu Education Center, building children’s self-confidence is an intentional part of the learning process.

Punthuk Sewu fosters a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child is valued and respected, regardless of their academic ability, social background, or family circumstances. Children are encouraged to speak up, ask questions, and share their opinions without fear of being judged or blamed. Mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning rather than as failures.

Self-confidence is also nurtured through experiential and practice-based learning, such as physical activities, group discussions, teamwork, and simple responsibilities suited to each child’s age. By completing tasks and seeing the results of their efforts, children begin to recognize their own abilities and build a sense of personal achievement.

Educators and facilitators at Punthuk Sewu act as mentors and companions, not authority figures who impose judgment. Through dialogue, encouragement, and positive feedback, children feel supported in their learning journey. The consistent example set by adults—listening, respecting differences, and valuing children’s voices—plays a key role in strengthening self-confidence.

Through a supportive environment and meaningful learning experiences, Punthuk Sewu helps children grow into individuals who are confident, resilient, and willing to learn, preparing them not only for academic challenges but also for social life beyond the classroom.

What We Are Building

Donations received during 2025–2026 will be prioritised to support the development of key facilities and infrastructure for our vocational education programme, including:

1. Improved student classrooms to create safe, comfortable, and effective learning environments;
2. A library and additional learning facilities to support literacy, independent learning, and academic growth;
3. Student dormitory facilities to accommodate learners from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and remote areas;
4. A vocational skills training center to deliver hands-on, practice-oriented education aligned with employment and livelihood opportunities; and
5. A main hall to serve as a shared space for learning activities, training events, community engagement, and institutional gatherings.

Through these efforts, Yayasan INFEST aims to build an inclusive, sustainable, and impactful vocational education ecosystem that equips learners with skills for the future while fostering dignity, resilience, and opportunity.
