Beyond Classrooms: Building an Ecosystem for Future Leaders

By Umam Hadinata | Teacher at Punthuk Sewu

Education is more than classrooms and textbooks.
It is an ecosystem—where skills, values, livelihoods, and leadership grow together.

Through the Eco Vocational School Indonesia, we are building more than a school. We are creating a learning ecosystem that prepares underprivileged rural youth to become future leaders, problem-solvers, and changemakers in their own communities.

This ecosystem connects:

  • Formal vocational education with real-world skills

  • Sustainable agriculture and livestock training with local economies

  • Entrepreneurship and circular economy practices with dignity and income

  • Environmental stewardship with leadership and responsibility

Students will not only learn—they will practice, produce, manage, and lead within an integrated environment that mirrors real life.

Your support helps us:

  • Build training facilities and classrooms

  • Develop practice-based, leadership-oriented curricula

  • Equip youth with tools, mentorship, and confidence

  • Create a safe pathway from education to meaningful livelihoods

Support education that goes beyond classrooms—and builds leaders for the future.

Together, we can nurture an ecosystem where learning leads to leadership—and leadership creates lasting change.
