Help Build a School for Underprivileged Children

Punthuk Sewu Learning Center continues to strengthen its commitment to educational equity through our Learning Support Program, designed to assist school-aged children who require additional academic guidance.

This program provides structured after-school mentoring sessions held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. These evening sessions create a safe and supportive learning environment where students can review, practice, and deepen their understanding of school subjects.

The primary objective of this initiative is to bridge learning gaps that often arise due to limited classroom time, varying teaching quality, or insufficient academic support at home. Many of the children we serve come from economically vulnerable families where parents may lack the time, educational background, or resources to assist with homework and academic development.

Through consistent mentoring by our dedicated volunteer teachers, students receive:

• Guided homework assistance

• Reinforcement of key subjects such as Mathematics and English

• Foundational strengthening in literacy and numeracy

• Individual attention tailored to their academic needs

Beyond academic reinforcement, the program also cultivates discipline, study habits, and confidence—essential soft skills that support long-term educational success.

The Learning Support Program remains a vital component of our broader mission to reduce educational inequality and ensure that every child, regardless of socioeconomic background, has the opportunity to succeed in formal schooling and beyond.
