The harmful effect of pesticide is uncountable. It not only affects the environment but also in biodiversity and in human health. Due to excess use of pesticide many beneficial insect and microorganisms are destroyed which affects the environment vary badly.
So, protect the environment and aware the farmers about the harmful effect of chemical pesticide, Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) arrange different type of awareness campaign activities. Such as postering, create a volunteer team, door to door visit of the farmers house, rally etc. After this awareness activities many farmers understand the harmful effect of chemical fertilizer. Now they use pheromone trap instead of chemical fertilizer. Which is inspiring for other farmers.
