Coastal region of Bangladesh is every year facing the devasting natural disaster and every year faces lots of economic loss. But to survive in the society, Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is working the for the community livelihood improvement. In that case, cooperative initiative for community product development by the local villagers are working in all together and generating income for their family. Through their activities, produced mangrove pickle, molasses, mangrove honey and mangrove juice. All those are marketing in the local and regional market and also sometimes get the international access.
Objectives: Income generation through the local initiatives, attracting the tourist by the local product and cultural view.
By their theme they are running the activities and got a success that income generated and sharing the profit among the cooperatives members. BESD and community people want to more spread out these business for the community and country.

Responsible tourism by the community people

Eco village campus
Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is a non-government and non-political organization which is working for the coastal people livelihood improvement where lots of challenges comes and turn over the year round. But it’s a common scenario of these region and BEDS is trying to develop an economically solvent community through the organization initiative and community people local effort. Among their attempt, responsible tourism is one of them where the tourist will get the revive of Sundarbans in the Eco village campus and also the local authentic food test that is collected from the local community. Also get the night stay facilities for the tourist. So, these local activities will bring them economical solvency and security especially for the women.
To scale up the ecovillage concept among the villagers, BEDS have a dream that every house will be a eco village and every family will be economically strong through their services.

Well-wishers support for nursery establishment
Climatic and weather condition is deteriorating day by day for some anthropogenic and natural causes. Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is a community-based organization that is working for the betterment of the human and nature. BEDS took eco village initiative where mangrove and fruit trees species generating by the community so that they generate support in both economically and financially. Cooperative members of BANOJIBI are selling these saplings and earnings for the cooperative members. Increasing the income and contributing in plantation and vegetation in the area.
Different donor and well-wishers are supporting in these work so that mangrove increase in coastal area which will contribute in reducing carbon that ensure the ecological footprint in the earth.
