What are the girls like who attend Dhammajarinee?
Recently a two-year-old was brought to the school because her mother had died and there was no family to take care of her.
A seven-year-old was brought to the school by officials when her parents were put in jail for selling serious narcotics.
Two sisters were recommended to the school by a shelter because their mother was too sick to take care of them. At home they only had rice to eat and occasionally something home grown.
To see these girls now you would not imagine the difficult situations they came from. They are all smiles and bubbling joyful energy. The two-year-old has adjusted quickly to the nourishing environment of the school and the older girls are happy and progressing in their studies at Dhammajarinee.
New School Year
Schools in Thailand begin their new academic year in May. Many more girls desire to come as students in this new school year and we do not want to turn any of them away. Help us fulfill the dreams of every new girl applying.
