The New Academic Year Joyfully Begins
Dhammajarinee’s academic year began in May in an atmosphere of smiles and excitement as students received their books, notebooks, and all the supplies needed for the months of learning ahead.
The New Student Welcome Camp was a huge success, full of laughter and lively energy! Through games, group activities, and team-building exercises, incoming students had the chance to bond with classmates, connect with senior Dhammajarinee students serving as mentors, and get to know their teachers.
Campus Improvements
Before the new school year began, the campus underwent several needed upgrades to ensure the school can continue to effectively serve its more than 1,000 students.
One of these projects was a complete renovation of the 20-year-old primary school building, including constructing new ceilings, installing new doors and windows, and retiling and painting. The building now feels like new and can continue serving hundreds of students for many more years to come.
Partnership with the Playing For Change Foundation
The Playing For Change Foundation (PFCF) is a global nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives and communities through free music and arts education.
Through this exciting partnership, PFCF will help bring more than 1,000 hours of music and traditional Thai dance instruction each week to our students—educating and empowering them through creativity, rhythm, and culture.
Understanding the Hearts and Minds of Today's Youth
Dhammajarinee Witthaya School’s administration, teaching staff, and personnel organized a professional development workshop titled "Modern Teachers Who Understand Today’s Youth.” The session fostered an atmosphere of active learning, meaningful dialogue, and greater insight into the world of the new generation. Each participant left the workshop inspired, equipped with practical tools and fresh perspectives to enhance both their teaching practice and their connection with students.
Boosting Math Skills and Community Support
In June, thanks to the Rotary Club of Suan Luang, our math teachers joined an inspiring Vedic Mathematics workshop — learning creative mental math techniques to help students calculate faster, think flexibly, and enjoy numbers.
The Rotary Club also generously donated essential items, helping to further support our school community.
Student Dental Check Up Day
Once again, this year students received dental checkups from the team from Pak Tho Hospital. Their care and support in promoting our students' oral health has benefitted our students immensely.
You Have Made This Possible
Your ongoing support has made these recent highlights possible. Dhammajarinee is deeply grateful to all of you and to our Monthly Guardian Donor Circle, who provide the predictable ongoing support for our student expenses.
