Your gift of education for more than 1,000 Dhammajarinee girls is doing far more than helping create futures free from poverty and limitation. Your support continues to expand meaningful learning experiences that help students to discover their full potential, develop confidence and creativity, and prepare for bright future pathways.
We are happy to share some recent highlights with you — our caring supporters who make all of this possible.
The New Academic Year Begins with Joy and Connection
The new school year began by warmly welcoming our newest students with a day filled with laughter, dancing, games, and new friendships — celebrating the beginning of their journey as part of the Dhammajarinee family of more than 1,000 girls. Guided by senior students, the activities created joy, connection, and a deep sense of belonging, helping each student feel supported and at home from their very first days on campus. These initial experiences form the foundation of confidence, friendship, and personal growth that will continue throughout the year ahead.
Soon after school began, some relatives of our youngest students shared that they already missed their children. In response, Dhammajarinee house mothers filmed and shared a joyful evening activity on Facebook. In this brief and heartwarming video, the youngest girls learn the English alphabet through a song: “A is for Apple, B is for Baby, C is for Candy…”

For our older students, life after class is not spent endlessly scrolling on social media. Instead, students pour their energy, dedication, and creativity into clubs, sports, music, leadership opportunities, and skill-building activities that help develop extraordinary talents and confidence.

Equipping Teachers, Unlocking Futures in STEM
Before students returned for the new academic year, Dhammajarinee teachers participated in a two-week intensive ICT and STEM teacher development program led by esteemed international expert and long-standing DWS STEM mentor, Dr. Stuart Kohlhagen. Designed as a hands-on and immersive experience, the program guided teachers from foundational computational thinking and coding through practical applications in electronics, robotics, and engineering.
Throughout the training, teachers:
• built core skills in computational thinking and coding
• progressed from block-based to text-based programming using Python and Arduino, supported by AI tools
• deepened their understanding of logic, functions, and debugging
• gained hands-on experience with sensors, circuits, and input/output systems
• applied their learning through robotics, automation, and engineering design challenges
• explored learner-centered approaches to ICT and STEM education. Beyond technical knowledge, the program strengthened teachers’ confidence and ability to deliver engaging, real-world learning experiences to more than 1,000 Dhammajarinee students this year.

DWS Selected as a Pilot School for Thailand’s “Learn to Earn” Initiative
Dhammajarinee has been selected as a pilot school in Thailand’s “Learn to Earn” initiative. Through collaboration across the education sector — including schools and vocational colleges — this initiative focuses on preparing students with practical vocational and life skills that support career readiness, self-sufficiency, and lifelong resilience.
Under the “Learn to Earn” concept, students learned how to apply digital knowledge creatively and practically — building skills that can support future careers, income opportunities, and lifelong growth in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Expert instructors from Pak Tho Vocational College shared valuable real-world knowledge and experience with our students. By building digital fluency and teaching responsible AI use, Dhammajarinee is helping prepare the next generation to thrive with confidence, creativity, wisdom, and adaptability in a changing global landscape.
At DWS, these opportunities are already an important part of our educational approach, with students developing skills in areas such as:
• Digital Marketing
• Food & Beverage Preparation
• Electrical Appliance Repair & Technical Skills
• Handicraft Production
DWS is proud to serve as a model school helping advance innovative and practical education for young women across Thailand.
Dhammajarinee Featured in Bangkok Post Article on AI Education in Thailand
Dhammajarinee was recently featured in a Bangkok Post article highlighting the growing movement to advance AI education across Thailand. Through the Microsoft Elevate for Educators initiative, teachers and students are unlocking new possibilities with AI-powered learning tools. The article highlights how classrooms at Dhammajarinee are evolving from traditional text-heavy lessons into more dynamic, interactive, and engaging learning experiences. The impact includes:
• Teachers saving an average of four hours per week on administrative tasks, allowing more time for student growth and support
• Increased student engagement and enthusiasm
• A nationwide initiative aiming to train and certify more than 150,000 educators across Thailand this year…
According to Dhammajarinee teacher Nontakan Dankitti: “Our students will grow up and live with technology their entire lives. What we are doing now is teaching them how to use AI correctly, while encouraging them to think, analyze, ask questions, and evaluate information from multiple sources. More importantly, they must use technology ethically and responsibly for their own benefit and for society as a whole.”
Thank you again and again for being part of Dhammajarinee’s growing success. Your generous compassion and ongoing support continue to open doors of opportunity, education, and hope for more than 1,000 girls — building brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
