Early Childhood Development in Rural Cocoa-Farming Communities: Your Impact Story.

By Andrew Adjei | Chief Development Officer

Tarkwa Breman Girls' School has produced outstanding results since its inception in 2016. Our first batch of pre-schoolers are now in basic 6.

Your partnership is unveiling powerful assets that will become game-changers tomorrow.

Thanks to all our partners and stakeholders for believing in these young girls.

How our model works;

The FFI model, or "farm-for-impact" model, is a unique approach developed by Cocoa360 to address the challenges faced by cocoa farming communities in Ghana. The model works by establishing a partnership between the community and Cocoa360, where the community provides labor on community-run cocoa farms. The revenues generated from the sale of the cocoa produce are used to eliminate non-tuition expenses such as books, uniforms, and transportation costs for the community's children.

Under the FFI model, Cocoa360 establishes an experimental Centre of Excellence, which includes an all-girls tuition-free school, a medical clinic, and acquired cocoa farms. The community provides labor on the cocoa farms, and the cocoa produce is sold to generate revenue. This revenue is then used to fund the non-tuition expenses associated with educating the community's children, such as books, uniforms, and transportation costs.

In exchange for providing labor on the cocoa farms, community members receive tuition-free education for their children. The FFI model is designed to be self-sustaining, with the revenues generated from the sale of the cocoa produce used to fund the non-tuition expenses of educating the children in the community.

The FFI model provides access to education for children in cocoa farming communities and a sustainable source of income for the community through the sale of cocoa produce. By engaging communities in the FFI model, Cocoa360 can empower communities to take charge of their development and promote economic self-sufficiency.

Participations from our partners augment the efforts of our hardworking cocoa farmers to give access to quality education and healthcare.

Thanks for believing in us!
