Can you see Thuraya’s smile? Can you feel her joy?
"My dream is to enter a prestigious university and become a surgeon." With these words, Thuraya spoke to us, her smile full of hope and her eyes shining with passion, despite all the pain, displacement, and suffering she has endured. Her voice carried a confidence beyond her years, as if she were telling the world: "I am here, and no circumstances will stop me from achieving my dream."
Five years ago, Thuraya was just a child living in a warm home filled with love. But suddenly, everything changed…
War forced her to flee, leaving behind her home and her dreams—her school bag, her friends, even her favorite toy. She found herself in a new world, far from school, far from safety, far from the future she had once imagined for herself.
But did she give up? Never.
Thuraya never lost hope. Instead, she continued to dream of the day she would wear the white doctor’s coat she had so often seen in her dreams. And today, you are helping make that dream a reality.
When she joined the Masarat initiative, her life changed. Doors opened for her once again, and she became a student receiving a comprehensive academic education—combining studies, activities, and academic guidance to pave her way to university.
Today, Thuraya is not alone. She has an entire team that believes in her, pushes her forward, and holds her hand as she takes each step toward her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. Step by step, her dream is no longer impossible—it is closer than she ever imagined.
Now, imagine that moment…
Thuraya wears her doctor’s coat for the first time, her eyes shining with happiness as she passes her exams with success. Picture her graduation day, holding her diploma with both hands, knowing that all the effort and hardship were worth it. She will know deep in her heart that there were people who believed in her, supported her, and gave her the opportunity that changed her life.
How would it feel to know that all of this carries your imprint?
