Last week ChildAid's director was in Moldova visiting the project partners, including one of the centres where the Peer to Peer programme operates thanks to your gifts.
As our project description describes, much more will be absorbed by young minds about sexual and personal health when taught by their peers.
But, the head (Adela) of one of the centres, when asked how she felt Peer to Peer worked could not have praised it high enough. She says:
"This is a truly wonderful programme. It is really difficult for us adults to talk to teenagers about sex education and the like. I am a biology teacher at teh local school...I know!
This really allows children to ask questions they would never ask me. I am so impressed I want to use peer to peer for other things. In fact, I've already started by having some of the more mature kids teach the younger ones dance steps and acting - they love it!"
So, thank you for being part of this "revolution".
Please tell others about this programme and share it with your Facebook and Twitter friends - we need to have more support for peer mentoring.
