Dear Donors,
Thank you for your support of Educate a Girl, Educate a Nation. Your generosity helps girls from low-income and rural communities access the education they deserve and the opportunities they need to thrive.
In Nigeria, over 10 million children are out of school, with girls making up the majority. Poverty, early marriage, and cultural barriers prevent many girls from continuing their education. Families often cannot afford tuition, uniforms, or learning materials, and boys’ education is prioritized over girls’. Without urgent intervention, girls are left without basic literacy and numeracy skills, limiting their future prospects and continuing cycles of poverty and inequality.
Although your donation is vital, it is not yet enough to fully launch the project. Immediate support is needed to provide scholarships, books, uniforms, and mentorship to girls from disadvantaged households. Engaging parents and community leaders will promote the value of girls’ education, ensuring they can remain in school, focus on learning, and develop skills for future success.
The long-term impact of this project is significant. Educated girls are more likely to secure employment, marry later, and raise healthier children, creating stronger families and more resilient communities. By supporting these girls today, donors help break cycles of poverty and gender inequality while contributing to Nigeria’s social and economic development.
We appeal to all supporters to continue giving generously. Every donation helps more girls stay in school, gain essential skills, and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. Your support is an investment in lasting change for Nigeria.
With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
