Dear Project Supporters,
It takes months to get school supplies to girls in Freetown. First, they are collected from around the world, then they are shipped to Sierra Leone, then they are organized into individual book bags full of school supplies once they arrive in Sierra Leone, and then finally they are distributed to girls in Sierra Leone. None of this would be possible without generous donors, like you!
School supplies were recently distributed to girls from nursery school all the way to senior secondary school in Freetown. Each book bag contained - notebooks, erasers, pens & pencils, crayons, a ruler, an umbrella, and a pencil sharpener.
The girls were all thankful for the school supplies they received, like Haja, pictured above, who is in secondary school, and Isha, pictured below, who is in primary school.
If you are not yet a recurring donor, we warmly invite you to consider setting up a recurring donation. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way.
Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
Warm regards,
Amy and the Develop Africa team
PS. Save the date: September 13-17, we’re celebrating the BIG difference little acts of kindness can make! When you donate up to $50, GlobalGiving will match your generosity. Together, we can empower girls, #LittleByLittle.
