Dear Project Supporters,

We greatly appreciate your ongoing support for girls’ education in Sierra Leone. Thanks to you, more girls are getting the computer training they need for success in today's technology-driven environment, like Joy, pictured here.

Joy is benefiting from an eight-week computer course. The computer course covers the introduction of basic computer skills at the Develop Africa Sierra Leone Computer Lab in Freetown.

The course will cover two topics;

 1. Introduction to computer

This topic focuses on the following subtopics:

  • Parts of computer: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, CPU, etc.
  • Types of computers
  • Components of computers

 2.  Introduction to Microsoft Word.

Basic Microsoft word skills such as typing, formatting text, etc. will be covered.

Joy is very grateful for the computer classes she is taking and sent this video of appreciation

Hi, I'm Joy, one of the beneficiaries of Develop Africa Sierra Leone.  I'm presently taking computer classes through Develop Africa.  Thanks for supporting me.
