Thanks in part to your ongoing support, the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) team held another girls’ mentoring program in February covering time management. Twenty-eight young ladies between the ages of 10-20 years old in Freetown attended the mentoring session. All twenty-eight attendees received a new wristwatch to help them to manage their time effectively. Furthermore, every one of the girls received transportation money, food, and drinks.
The mentoring session began with a recap on previous mentoring topics, information about Develop Africa Sierra Leone, and discussing basic life skills. At the end of the recap, the guest speaker projected pictures that demonstrate poor time management as an opening to the discussion topic.
The speaker then went into her presentation covering the topics:
At the end of the mentoring session, the DASL program manager talked about the benefits of the mentoring platform and urged the girls to make good use of everything said during the mentoring session.
