The FAWE girls continue to learn and improve on their computer skills in the FAWE computer lab that was set up in Oct of 2021. The computers are also continuing to improve, most recently with the installation of the RACHEL Server and Netgear.
A Netgear 24 port switch was installed which provides enough ports for all FAWE computers in the Lab to be able to get access to the server. Wired connections were used for this network. The Rachel (Remote Area Community Hotspot for Education and Learning) server is a portable, battery-powered, device that contains copies of educational websites in an offline format. The Girls will be using this educational content in their academic work.
The girls are now learning how to start getting educational materials from the RACHEL Server. The students and teachers are grateful for the continued support and upgrades in the FAWE Computer Lab.
We are truly grateful for your generosity. Every dollar donated makes an impact on girls' education. We warmly invite you to consider setting up a recurring donation to continue girls' education if you haven't already done so. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation,
