One of the ways educational support is provided to young ladies is through vocational training. This provides crucial training in marketable skills, which are vital for poverty reduction, economic recovery, and sustainable development. Thanks in part to your support, Agnes is getting the training she needs to empower herself and become self-reliant.
Agnes is twenty-one years old; she loves singing and dancing. Her parents died when she was only five years old. Her grandmother and her uncle raised her and her three siblings in Freetown. Despite her early family tragedy and current challenges, Agnes has dreams of having a better future for herself and her siblings. In 2021, Agnes enrolled in a vocational training center to do a two-year vocational training course at the C-ford Vocational training center in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She will be graduating in 2023.
Hello, my name is Agnes; I am part of Develop Africa and I am also part of the vocational institute training center. I have learned to sew a dress, thank you very much for the support.
Making a monthly donation is the most effective way to help girls get their education, but every dollar donated makes a difference. If you are not yet a recurring donor and would like to sign up for a recurring donation go here.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation,
