In September, students in Sierra Leone will be starting the school year. Thanks in part to your support there are 68 girls that will be receiving school support. There are 28 girls in primary school (Nursery- Class 6) and 40 girls in secondary school (Junior Secondary School (JSS) – Senior Secondary School (SSS)) from the following towns in Sierra Leone- Bo, Freetown, Makeni, and Kamawornie.
Your support will help these 68 girls go back to school with school supplies and tuition support for the 2022-23 school year. This support brings a huge relief to the families - who this year are struggling under the weight of inflation, worsened by an increase in fuel prices of 100% from January to July.
The average cost per student to receive school supplies and tuition support is $104.00 and any additional support for these girls’ education for the 2022-23 school year would be greatly appreciated.
