Elizabeth Talks about Health & Wellness Mentoring Session

By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader

Elizabeth in the mentoring session
Elizabeth in the mentoring session

Elizabeth talks about what she learned at a recent health & wellness mentoring session.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth, a beneficiary of Develop Africa. In today’s mentoring program, I learned about health, nutrition, and exercise. I also learned that exercise helps us to sustain and improve our health also, I learned about a balanced diet, when we take in a balanced diet, we will be healthy, thank you.

Health and wellness education is important for youths/ teens and the mentoring session covered topics on personal hygiene, exercise, a balanced diet, and nutrition and how important these are to your overall health and well-being. Twenty-eight girls including Elizabeth attended this mentoring session.

Thank you for your support towards empowering and educating girls in Africa with girls' mentoring sessions.  Mentoring helps girls go through challenging life transitions, including health & wellness, critical decision-making, problem-solving, and transitioning to adulthood.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With great appreciation,

Amy & the Develop Africa Team
