Martha is Changing the Narrative

By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader

Thank you for your support towards empowering and educating girls in Africa, like Martha. Martha shares her thoughts in a heartfelt video.

"Hello, my name is Martha, I’m one of the beneficiaries of Develop Africa Sierra Leone. We all know the challenges women are facing in our society, wherein we don’t have a voice, and we are not being encouraged to take part in politics. This year I want to change the narrative, women should be encouraged. Normally women’s position is limited to the kitchen, taking care of children, and the home.  I want to say thank you very much to Develop Africa for the opportunities being given to me."

Martha's words echo the transformative power of education in challenging societal norms and fostering empowerment for girls in Sierra Leone.

As we eagerly anticipate #GivingTuesday in just 13 days, we invite you to join us in spreading the word. With $1.2 MILLION USD in bonus funding available from GlobalGiving, your support has an even greater impact. Help us continue to educate and empower girls in Sierra Leone by donating at http://goto.gg/3935 #MoveAMillion

While making a monthly donation is the most effective way to support girls' education, every dollar donated contributes significantly to our shared mission.
