In 2010, Isata's life took a transformative turn when she began attending school, thanks to generous donors like you. The picture below shows Isata at the start of her educational journey. Without Develop Africa's scholarship program, Isata would have continued hawking charcoal with her mother, never having the opportunity to attend school.
In August 2020, we shared an update on Isata's progress. She was then in Senior Secondary School at the Government Model Secondary School, aspiring to become a nurse due to her passion for caring for the sick.
Fast forward to now, Isata has completed Senior Secondary School and decided to pursue a vocational degree in Cosmetology with a focus on hairdressing. Now in her second year, she is preparing for her final practical training before completing her vocational degree.
Recently, Isata shared her excitement: "In the next two weeks, I will be sent out to a professional salon to gain working experience. After I complete my course, I would like to open a salon."
Educating girls like Isata has a profound impact that extends far beyond individual achievements; it is a cornerstone of societal progress. Every contribution, whether through monthly donations or one-time gifts, makes a significant difference in the lives of these young women.
