By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader
Thanks in part to your support, Amainata and ten other young ladies were able to take computer classes. After nearly five months of training, they each recently received certificates of completion at a graduation ceremony. This event was significant for the students as it marked their successful completion of Microsoft Office training at the Develop Africa Sierra Leone Computer lab.
Computer training is invaluable for young women in Sierra Leone, equipping them with essential skills needed in today’s job market. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs opens doors to employment opportunities, enhances their academic pursuits, and empowers them to become self-sufficient and confident women.
Your ongoing support is helping transform girls into educated, empowered leaders. Monthly donations are the most effective way to help girls get their education, but every dollar donated makes a difference! If you are not yet a recurring donor, we welcome your ongoing support.
Another way to help is to share this project with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this initiative. If you have any questions, please email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With warmest regards,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
