Inspiring Change: Your Support is Helping Shape Girls' Futures

By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader

The Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) team distributed school support to 10 girls in Bo including Precious & Tewoh.  Each girl received a backpack filled with essential school supplies, including pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, water bottles, crayons, sharpeners, markers, and exercise books. In addition to these supplies, financial assistance was provided to help cover tuition fees.

Precious just started class one with her new school supplies and Tewoh just started senior secondary school (SSS) with her new school supplies.  Tewoh would like to go to nursing school when she completes senior secondary school.

The process of gathering, shipping, and distributing these school supplies to Sierra Leone would not be possible without the generosity of donors like you. Your contributions make a tangible difference in the lives of these girls, helping them start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

Your support is changing lives and empowering young girls to build brighter futures. You can make a lasting difference through a monthly donation, but every contribution—big or small—counts and helps transform lives. If you haven’t yet signed up for a recurring donation and would like to join us in this important mission, you can do so here.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
