In the summer of 2024, we shared that Kotarah had successfully passed the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)—a crucial milestone for students in Sierra Leone, marking the final step before entering college.
Thanks in part to your generosity, Kotarah is now beginning her first year of accounting at the University of IPAM (Institute of Public Administration and Management). She recently shared her heartfelt gratitude:
"Hello, my name is Kotarah, a beneficiary of Develop Africa Sierra Leone. I am currently studying at the University of IPAM, a year one student studying accounting. I want to say a very big thank you to Develop Africa and all donors for supporting my year one tuition"
When girls like Kotarah are given the opportunity to learn, they break cycles of poverty, uplift their families, and contribute to stronger, more prosperous communities.
You can be part of this ongoing impact! If you are not a recurring donor yet, you can set up a monthly donation, to help more young women in Sierra Leone. Every gift, no matter the size, creates lasting change.
Thank you for being a part of Kotarah’s journey! Your support is transforming lives, one student at a time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
