Recently, Develop Africa hosted a financial literacy mentoring session to help beneficiaries understand key financial management skills such as budgeting and saving. The session, conducted via Zoom by Susan, a Develop Africa board member from the USA, provided practical insights into responsible money management.
A total of 28 girls participated in the session, actively engaging in discussions about financial planning and future financial responsibilities. The interactive format encouraged meaningful conversations, allowing participants to reflect on their spending habits and develop a saving culture.
Agnes, one of the girls attending the mentoring session, shared what she learned saying, "Hi, my name is Agnes. I am a beneficiary of Develop Africa Sierra Leone. In today's session, I learned about financial literacy and how to manage my budget by saving my money or income. Thank you!"
Mentoring sessions are vital in equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed for success. We sincerely thank all our donors for making these impactful mentoring sessions possible. Your support is shaping a brighter future for girls in Sierra Leone, giving them the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions.
