As World Malaria Day approaches (April 25th), we’re reminded that Malaria is a big threat to girls' education in Sierra Leone. Malaria is a preventable disease that continues to affect thousands of students each year. When girls fall sick, they miss valuable classroom time, setting them back in school and increasing their risk of dropping out.
Thanks in part to your incredible support, we are distributing long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs) to girls like Mary, a junior secondary school student. She recently received her net and shared how thankful she is that she can now sleep protected from mosquito bites each night.
These simple but powerful tools help ensure girls stay healthy, attend school consistently, and focus on building their future.
If you’re not yet a monthly donor, would you consider joining us? Even just a few dollars each month makes a difference in helping girls stay in school and break the cycle of poverty through education.
