For the children at Kamawornie Nursery School, play is more than just fun—it’s a powerful part of their development:
Building Skills: Through play, children learn to problem-solve, develop motor coordination, and strengthen communication skills. Whether it's stacking blocks, kicking a ball, or role-playing with friends, these activities lay the foundation for academic and life success.
Social Development: Sharing toys, taking turns, and playing together foster social-emotional learning and teamwork. These interactions teach empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution.
Cognitive Growth: Puzzles, memory games, and imaginative toys stimulate curiosity and enhance critical thinking, giving children a head start in literacy and numeracy skills.
Emotional Well-Being: Play helps reduce stress and build self-confidence. For children in rural communities, a joyful, safe environment offers healing and hope.
Thanks in part to your donations, Kamawornie Nursery School now has:
Teachers have reported significant improvements in student engagement and energy. The children are more attentive in class, more confident in their interactions, and visibly happier each day.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Develop Africa Team
