We are happy to share the impact of girls’ mentoring sessions in Sierra Leone—an inspiring initiative made possible thanks to the generous support of donors like YOU.
These sessions provide a safe, supportive space where teenage girls can engage in open conversations about their futures, build confidence, and receive vital education on topics that matter most to them. From navigating adolescence and setting personal goals to understanding reproductive health, relationships, and career pathways, the mentoring sessions equip girls with the tools they need to thrive.
This video shows what participants had to say about what they've learned from mentoring sessions.
For many girls, these gatherings are a rare opportunity to be heard, ask questions, and connect with strong female role models. By encouraging self-expression and personal growth, the sessions help break cycles of silence, stigma, and limited opportunity that too often hold girls back.
Your generosity is helping girls realize their potential, believe in themselves, and take steps toward brighter futures. Thank you for investing in the next generation of strong, educated, and empowered women.
With gratitude,
Amy & the Develop Africa Team
