We are thrilled to share the outstanding achievement of our top-performing primary school student, Marina, a shining example of what is possible when girls are given the chance to learn and thrive.
Marina has been part of the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) family since her nursery school days. With the continuous support of donors, she has received essential school materials, a solar light, and financial assistance throughout her education. Recently, Marina sat for the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) and achieved an impressive aggregate of 320, a remarkable accomplishment that has made us all proud.
Examinations like the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) serve as an important stepping stone in the educational journey. The NPSE not only determines whether pupils can transition into Junior Secondary School (JSS) but also provides insight into their academic strengths, challenges, and readiness for the next stage of learning. For our beneficiaries, these results are more than just numbers on a report card; they reflect their hard work and the dedication of parents, teachers, and the DASL program that has supported them.
Marina’s outstanding performance shows that excellence is possible with the right environment and effort. When girls are supported, they not only excel academically but also become leaders and role models for their peers and communities.
Together, we are proving that with opportunity and support, girls can rise, shine, and achieve greatness. Thank you for believing in Marina and countless other young girls who are working hard to secure brighter futures
Warm regards,
Amy & The Develop Africa Team
